What are your prices?
All of our trips are priced at £10 per person per hour. Where fishing is done we add £5 for rod hire per person per trip.
Do you take credit/debit cards?
- Sorry but we can only take cash payments at the moment. We are looking into getting this facility set up as soon as possible.You can also pay by paypal.
How many people can you carry?
We are licensed and insured to carry 10 passengers and 2 crew.
When can you offer a trip?
We can operate all day and all year up to 20 miles from safe haven, weather permitting.
Do you allow dogs on board and do you charge a fee for them?
We do allow well behaved dogs aboard but must be on a lead throughout the trip. There is no charge for dogs.
Do you have a toilet?
We have a toilet down below.
Where can we park?
There is space to park at the top of the pontoon – if this is full then park in the car park at the bottom of the hill.
Can my child have a go at the helm?
We often allow children to steer the boat when appropriate.
Do you need a minimum number of passengers to run a trip?
We do not operate a minimum passenger policy, we are very happy to take you out by yourself.
Where do you go from?
We operate from the floating pontoon near to The Talisker Whisky Distillery. Therefore, our departure and return times are not effected by tide height. Whilst the pontoon is an ideal platform to get aboard from we remind you that it may be slippery at times and so to use the hand rails and take care when walking on it.
Do you have binoculars aboard?
We have a pair of high quality binoculars available free of charge for every passenger.
Do you provide refreshments?
We provide a choice of Tea, De-caf and regular coffee, Hot Chocolate, Apple juice and orange juice. You are also offered a small pack of quality biscuits to have with your drink.
We need to catch a bus will we be back on time?
Often our trips are longer than advertised and we ask you to let us know if you are on a tight schedule.
Do you provide fishing tackle?
All fishing equipment is provided but you are welcome to use your own.
We have never fished before is that a problem?
No it is not a problem, fishing from a boat is a very easy process and we will guide you all the way.
Can we take the fish we catch home?
The fish you catch are yours to do with as you wish, hopefully cook and enjoy. We do ask that if you do not wish to take any home that you simply return them to the sea or share with others onboard.
I’m not a good traveller on the sea, might i feel ill?
We have not had a single person be sea sick, our boat is very comfortable on the water, but if you suffer from motion sickness then please let us know as your comfort is one of our priorities.
